After Holiday stress with ADHD

Full disclosure: I am about to lose my ever-loving mind!!! I took a few days off, & now my brain is jumbled. I am not in my zone, & I feel behind on everything.

Guess what. It's ok. I am just in a season. It's not a thunderstorm just yet. Its chilly & rainy as far as my thought storm. I can sit around, & feel sorry for myself, (I did do a little of this.....I actually recommend it to a certain extent) or I can just do what I can, & take some baby steps.

"This too shall pass"

  • Take time for yourself. this one is the most important. Give yourself grace! Make sure to take some time out of your day to focus on yourself. Whether that means reading a book, listening to music, or taking a relaxing bath – do something that brings you joy!
  • Reach out to a friend. Connecting with someone you trust can help you process your feelings and provide emotional support.
  • Get some exercise. Exercise is a great way to reduce stress and can help you feel more energized. Plus, it's almost the new year, so get moving!!
  • Practice mindfulness. Mindfulness activities like deep breathing, meditation, and yoga can help you focus on the present moment and reduce stress.
  • Get enough sleep. It’s important to get enough rest to help your body and mind recover.
  • If you are like me, & feel overwhelmed right now. Take some baby steps, & decide each one is ok. It is a step forward, & that is what matters.

I hope these tips help you find some peace of mind after the holidays. If you are struggling with stress, please reach out.
