Growing My Business

Growing a business can make you feel like throwing your dang laptop into the ocean sometimes. So many moving pieces, so many voices telling you what to do, and a brain that really doesn’t want to focus on any of it.
If you’re in the messy middle of business, feeling overwhelmed, & wanting to burn it all down —trust me, I’ve been there. But these five shifts changed everything for me.

1. Refine Your Messaging—Fast.

Your ideal clients aren’t mind readers (wouldn’t that be nice, though?). They need to know, at a glance, why they should buy from you. That means:

  •  Clear, compelling messaging that speaks directly to their struggles.
  •  No jargon, no fluff. If they have to read your sales page twice to “get it,” they’re gone.
  •  A real reason to care. People don’t buy because you love what you do; they buy because they need it.

If your sales feel sluggish, your messaging might be the missing piece. The good news? Small tweaks make a big difference.

2. Leverage Your Strengths (Stop Fighting Your Brain).

If you’re neurodivergent (or just human), you’ve probably tried to force yourself into strategies that sound good but feel awful. Maybe you’ve convinced yourself you need:

  •  A perfectly scheduled content calendar (but you rebel against structure).
  •  To be on every platform (even though you hate half of them).
  •  To follow a marketing “formula” that drains the life out of you.

Instead of forcing yourself into strategies that don’t fit, lean into what works for you. Love talking? Start a podcast. Hate writing long emails? Keep them short and punchy. The easiest way to stay consistent is to stop fighting your own brain.

3. Join a Supportive Community (Stop Trying to Do It Alone).

Spoiler: No one is figuring this out solo. Every successful entrepreneur has support—whether it’s a mastermind, a group program, or just a few business friends they can voice-note at 2 AM.

Being in the right community gives you:

  •  Accountability (because left alone, your brain will wander off into 17 different ideas).
  •  Perspective (sometimes you’re too close to see the obvious solution).
  •  Momentum (because when you see others making progress, it keeps you moving too).

You don’t need to do this alone. And honestly? It’s way more fun when you don’t.

4. Use Hypnosis & Guided Meditations (Seriously, It’s a Game-Changer).

You can only muscle your way through so much before your brain short-circuits. That’s where hypnosis and meditation come in.

  •  Overthinking? It quiets the noise.
  •  Doubting yourself? It rewires the beliefs keeping you stuck.
  •  Burned out? It helps your nervous system reset.

Most entrepreneurs focus on strategy, but your subconscious mind is what’s actually running the show. When you get that on board? Everything shifts.

5. Simplify Your Marketing (More Content ≠ More Sales).

Listen, I love a good content sprint as much as the next person, but more random content isn’t the answer. What you need is:

  •  A few key messages you repeat often (instead of reinventing the wheel every post).
  •  A strategy that moves people toward buying, not just more engagement.
  •  A balance of organic + paid marketing so your efforts actually convert.

If your marketing feels overwhelming, strip it down to the essentials. More is not better. Better is better.

TL;DR—It Doesn’t Have to Be So Hard

These five shifts made growing my business way easier:

Refine your messaging (so people instantly know why they should buy from you).
Leverage your strengths (and stop forcing yourself into strategies that don’t fit).
Join a supportive community (because business is way less lonely with help).
Use hypnosis/meditation (your brain is your biggest asset—train it well).
Simplify your marketing (because throwing spaghetti at the wall isn’t a strategy).

If business feels hard, you’re not doing it wrong—you just might need a better approach. Which shift do you need to make first? Drop a comment and let’s talk about it!
